I remember the 'Bull', the 'Swan' and the school closing and the pupils transferred to Parklands. I have so many memories, is there anyone out there to share them with?

RE: RE: Village Life
Hi Mike,
I just came across you memories, mentioning the closing of your school and having to go to Parklands. I remember that happening. Were you at Sutton Way primary school too, with Mr Tudor (the Headmaster), Mrs Kenworthy, Miss Routledge etc? If so we may of had some pals in common. I have an old class group photo I could send you, if you wish.

I too remember starting school at the church school. Miss Anderson was headmistress then later Miss Donbavand. Before the new Parklands school was built we were housed in long prefabricated huts. I remember teachers called Miss Dickinson, Miss Brenton and Mr Humphries. I lived at Roadside Farm opposite The Bull. We had the general store there. Also opposite was Crossleys shop - our competitors!
