RE: RE: Relations of John Wraite & Mary Post

Eleanor Hunt was my 3xgreat grandmother. Her daughter Eleanor Rayner nee Marsh was my 2 xgreat grandmother. Eleanor and Henry Rayner's son Henry, who was my great grandfather, was in the RN and emigrated to Australia after leaving the navy in 1874and marrying Ellen Cotterell of Old Windsor.

Eleanor and Henry Rayner had twelve children of whom four died as infants. Elizabeth, James, Charlotte, Eleanor, Henry, Phoebe, Julie Ann, Frances and George were all born at Cold Harbour Farm Northbourne where their father Henry was farm bailiff. The younger children - Charles was born at Bere Farm Westcliffe, Maria and Sarah were born at Guston.

James married Mary Elizabeth Hammond of St Margaret at Cliffe, Phoebe married Thomas Hayward.
