More about this scene

The many prams and push-chairs were a typical sight in Harlow, leading to its nickname 'Pram Town'. One of the busiest shops in Broad Walk was Bellmans, selling wool and patterns for babies and young children. Many people went to the Town Centre on bicycles, and left them leaning against the wall opposite the shops.
