Childhood

St Marys Church was my special place. I would go there whenever I needed to think or just find inner peace. It helped me through a sometimes difficult transition to adulthood. Although I now live 56 miles away, it is still my place of hope, and I go back there every chance I get. It's so beautiful, my very own stairway to heaven.

RE: RE: Childhood

Another one of my favourite places was a half destroyed mansion which had been made unsafe, due to 2 fires in the 1960s. In its magnificent day it had been Ingleby Court, in South Harrow, near the railway station. I only wish I had taken some photographs of it before it was demolished, along with its Japanese rock garden, to make way for a row of Georgian style houses to be known as Ingleby Drive.
