I really don't remember much about Heswall, but it holds a special place in my heart, as that is where my mother found me. I had been born in May 1959 in Wrexham, but for some reason was not taken home by the women who gave birth to me. I was moved to Heswall. My soon to be sister, was training to be a nurse, Margaret Petty, and she told her mother about me. My mother came over to see and decided to adopt me. I was then transferred to Liverpool Myrtle Street hospital from there she adopted me. I will always be very greatful to Heswall, Miss Meek the Matron and all the staff.

A memory of Heswall in Merseyside shared on Tuesday, 17th May 2011.
