Cindy And Family .... And The Lovely Robert
I remember you all living in the Ferguson's house ... Cindy brought us candy from the base and we would all congregate on the playing field. Robert was such a lovely guy - I still keep a picture of him in my kitchen, and have a t-shirt that he wrote on - it was such a loss when he died ... His sister Le'anne is still around, his brother Reuben still lives in Hilgay - and named his son after Robert. His brother Frank lives in Southery. It's nice that you still remember him, I will tell Le'anne when I see her, she will be pleased. Hope you are all well.

RE: RE: Cindy And Family .... And The Lovely Robert
I loved Hilgay as a young teen. Cindy Dewhurst was my friend and I stayed in Hilgay on weekends with her family during 1974 and 1975. She had two sisters and a brother, but most importantly a normal mother and father. Robert was a wonderful person. He was a very wise and mature young man. Cindy loved him dearly and it was a tragedy to lose him. I moved back to the US because of medical problems and Cindy's family moved to Italy, I think. I remember so many little things about visiting Hilgay. I named a young brother Adrian after someone I thought was very good and kind and very witty from Hilgay. I also met friends from Downham Market in Hilgay. Rhino was a friend I met from Downham Market and had a girlfriend named Mandy who he loved. What a wonderful place to experience. When I returned to America I attended a violent inner city school in Atlanta, GA. What a culture shock. Thanks for the website!
