Chadwick Family
I am searching for a Charles & Hugo Mavesyn Chadwick.
Charles Chadwick died c1820 and Hugo Chadwick died in 1854.
I notice that the name of the public house in Hill Ridware is the Chadwick Arms.
Does anyone have any history of this pub and why it was given this name and of the Chadwicks of Mavesyn Ridware?
Betty Ashton (nee Chadwick)

RE: RE: Chadwick Family
Hi,
I have Hugo Chadwick's pedigree from the Landed Gentry. Get back to me and I will download a copy. They held the manor at Mavesyn Ridware from the early 1600s. They also have other family seats at Healey Hall, county Lancaster and New Hall near Sutton Coldfield. I have a George Chadwick ancestor at Lichfield but do not know yet if he has any connection with the Ridware family. Could you tell me your connection to Hugo.
John Reynolds.

RE: RE: Chadwick Family
I have a friend in America, Enzo Simone, who is a direct descendant of the Chadwick family. They helped build the Church of St Nicholas in Mavesyn Ridware. If you should ever visit this church, there is a small booklet on sale there that lists the names of the Chadwicks and a brief history. Should either of you wish to contact me regarding Enzo, I am available as robbristol@hotmail.com
