Chadwick Family
I am searching for a Charles & Hugo Mavesyn Chadwick.
Charles Chadwick died c1820 and Hugo Chadwick died in 1854.
I notice that the name of the public house in Hill Ridware is the Chadwick Arms.
Does anyone have any history of this pub and why it was given this name and of the Chadwicks of Mavesyn Ridware?

My Old School
My old school which myself and brother attended the good old days. This photo was taken from where I live now.
Hill Ridware in th 30's
I was born in the School House in 1935. In my childhood days I remember spending time at the Smithy, pumping the bellows. Hill Ridware was my first school to which we went by road by the Chadwich Arms, or down a long pathway by the smithy (opposite the Royal Oak). Next to the Cadwich Arms was a farm. We used to watch the cattle come in for milking. My grandfather owned the row of houses opposite the school house and I remember playing with someone called Measley? We later moved to the Pipie Place Farm at Armitage, which used to be owned by my grandfather. I remember my father being in the ARP during the war. We used to go to church at Mavesyn Ridware down the lane from Hill Ridware.
