Wounded World War One Soldiers?

Anstie Grange 1915

I'm pretty sure my great grandfather Hubert John Cavell, was brought here after becoming wounded in Ypres, in Belgium. He died on 22/04/1917. Does anybody have any information? I know that the Queen Alexandra nurses trained there.

RE: RE: Wounded World War One Soldiers?

My name is John Francis. My grandmother was in service there in the 1914/18 war ,there is a book of Holmwood by Bill Smith, my grandmother is in the book. My uncle in Dorking may have the original photos, Mr A G Francis. My email is: jonbuss69@yahoo.co.uk I wish you luck. I forgot, they lived at Holly and Laural Cottages behind the pub, the cottage is the last one standing.
