Thanks for reminding me of the name of the coffee bar opposite Mescias, I used to stop for an espresso whilst waiting for a bus on a Saturday night, on the way to Dukinfield Town Hall for a Saturday dance. You're right about the juke-box, it really was 'manky'.

I was in the "Jester" when news of Kennedy's assassination came through on the radio November 22nd 1963!!!
