What A Wonderful Time
I was born in 1945 at Hudson Road, Gee Cross and attended Holy Trinity School and later Greenfield Street, leaving at age 16 to work at Adamsons in Hyde. During the next couple of years I applied to emigrate to Australia. While I still have a soft spot for Gee Cross and Hyde, going to Australia was the best move ever. Anyone who remebers me are welcome to contact me in Perth, Western Australia.

RE: RE: What A Wonderful Time
I tried sending you the foowing message but it would not work.
Hi John are you still in Australia? We went to school together at Greenfield street. Your dad worked with mine at the Town Hall. We lived at the Oaklands Hall, Mottram road. Mum lived to be 90 and only passed away in September of last year. I brought both mum and dad out in 1982. I moved to South Africa in '69 after becoming a member of the ANC & working under cover for 25 years.. I'm now happily retired & living in Kokstad. I am on Facebook. Cheers matey. I remember when you broke your toe by kicking a chair in your bedroom in anger :-))
