Main Street Ibstock

It may look drab on this photo but: I grew up here in the 1960's and this photo brings back many fond memories. The bus stop is where I used to wait for the Brown's Blue to Ashby Grammar just outside of Reenes ? clothes shop. The car opposite is a two-tone cream and blue Riley ? which was thought of at the time as rather posh. The Prefabs Sunnyside

I was born at number 15 Sunnyside Estate Ibstock in one of the prefabs 1956 along with my mum and dad and sister. It’s long gone now but think there are bungalows where the prefabs used to be.
