My name at the time was Sylvia Rooke, I think I lved on Cravenrow but am not too sure about the name. If anyone out there can help with this school at all that would be wonderful. If you could contact me my email is: rosieksylvia@yahoo.ca. Thankyou, I hope to hear from somone soon.

RE: My Life Living in Keighley

I had very happy memories of Eastwood Sec School, started before Easter 1958, leaving Jul 1960. I was in 4a/n, one of the nursing students, Ann Whiteley was head girl. I remember Howard Scarborough, Kathryn Shaw, Rodney Pallister, Christine Shaw, remember? Mr Fenton took art, Mr Sturk metal work, Mrs Ibbotson, English, can't recall the Headmaster's name, know he retired before I left, I'll-health, & a snooty Lille man took over, had a thick 'tash & liked caning? We used to have school dances on a Friday pm organised by the old Headmaster. Also remember going to the Brussels Exibition & Luxembourg? Great times, anyone out there get in touch hils1944@hotmail.co.uk. Used to live in Ben Rhyddimg, nr Ilkley, live in Guiseley now - retired of course!!
