The Church
I remember the church in the background of this photo, my mother and father and brother are all buried there now and I'll be visiting in May 2011, with my close friend Maxine. I used to remember a small bungalow there called Eastveiw in Kelsale. I also remember a gentelman named John White from the 1950s. I would like to say I'm aged 77 and loved looking at these old photos from where I grew up, it brought back many memories from the good old days. My brother named Victor Chambers remained in Kelsale all his life. I moved to Oxford and have now retiered to Bournemouth. My parents' names were Victor Fredrick Henry Chambers and Sarah Chambers, if anyone remembers any of my late family members please can you email me, I would love to hear from you. I am looking forward to re visiting Kelsale very soon.

Hello Eric, My husband Bill Crook remembers you and Victor, we have a photo dated 1948 of Billy Beltons Class, on which you are featured. Miriam Slaymaker (nee Mann) has an original. You are middle row, fourth from right Victor is second from right. Regards Ann Crook (Poppel)

Hi Eric,
Although you are about ten years older than me, I remember you living at East View with the family. I think the John White in your posting may be reference to my brother John Whiting (Nipper). We used to live in the end house on West View next to the allottments that were at the end of your back garden. We often used to take a short cut through 'Charlie Fords' garden and run the gauntlet with the billy goat and bantam cockerel to get to the bottom road. I now live in 17 East View which has the redundent pump in the garden where you used to get your water. Not much changes in East View as it is still
much as you would remember it. Village has changed in that we no longer have any shops or pubs. Quite a few new houses about and influx of new faces otherwise much as you would remember it.
