The Green Dragon Inn
Memories of my husband and I as managers of The Dragon in the early70s, our staff were Mary Lambert, Val Lovely (I think she has changed her name)and Pam Verges, and the lovely football players from Lincoln City, especially the Percy Freeman one, if you're all still out there I would love to hear from any old customers and friends.

RE: RE: The Green Dragon Inn
I remember working as a barman at the Green Dragon in 1970. Had a really great time. I remember Mary and Val very well, in fact I still keep in touch with Val. Daphne Oxford is another name that comes to mind. Chef Cohen used to keep us all on our toes if I remember correctly.
I also remember the huge copper bar.
It was a wonderful time. I left in 1971 to go to America. I've lived in Atlanta, Georgia ever since.

RE: RE: The Green Dragon Inn
I started my working life at The Green Dragon in 1970 at 15 years of age, my mother Florence Brewin was head waitress there, I started as a commis waiter eventually ending up as a commis chef under chef Cohen and his son who was the second chef. I served under the Stone family who took over after the Brownings moved on, had some great times there until I left aged 18.
Remeber the foriegn lady in the cocktail bar and Dolly the lovely washer up lady.
