My mother, Joan Atkinson, was born at Linton lock in 1927. Her father was the lock keeper. She lived there for a few years before the family moved to Haxby.

Dear Paul,

We are looking forward to recieving your account of Mum's memories of
Linton on Ouse. Perhaps we should look through the photographs to find out if we have any with Linton in the background? I don't remember seeing any but perhaps I missed them.
