The Bell

My name is Ann Jones. I live in the USA I was formerly Ann Groom, my dad Sydney Groom and mother Mildred kept The Snoring Bell. I remember the Whiteheads down the street on the farm, and going to Little Snoring School - my teachers were Donny Garrett, Mrs Catchpole and Mrs Leach. I had lots of friends and some of my best memories ever. When I go back home now everything is so different - those were the good old days!

RE: RE: The Bell

Hello Ann

What years were you in  Little Snoring, did you know Ernie Tuck from Little Snoring? Or Nancy Oldfield, I think Nancy's maiden name was Whitehead? Other names I know from there are David and Pauline Bushell, did you know any of these?

Regards

Irene

RE: RE: The Bell

I have many memories of Little Snoring and the Bell. I met Ernie Tuck quite recently and he reminded me that he was a Sunday School teacher when I attended there and he still had his attendance book which he showed me. David Plane who lived a few doors away from us on Oaklands contacted me on FriendsReuinted. There are some school photos on there. My dad (Jimmy Critchell) knew Sydney Groom VERY well, they were friends. Do pay my Snorings website a visit when you can: www.the-snorings.co.uk. I'm researching my Southgate ancestry also and have a lot of Norfolk data of people you may know so get in touch if you're interested.
