Bootle Evacuee
I was evacuated to Llangunllo after the Liverpool Blitz in 1941 and stayed with Mr and Mr's George Lloyd in a house named "Larch Grove". I have very fond memories of those folk. I live in Canada now, since 1957.

RE: RE: Bootle Evacuee
I think you stayed with my grandparents who eventually moved to Central Villa in Llangunllo, which is the house I remember as a child. They both died in the mid 1960s. My mother has talked about having an evacuee to stay. My mother is Joan (Margaret) and she had sisters Kitty (Kathleen), Dorothy and Margerie & brothers Stanley & Raymond. Mum and Raymond are the only ones alive now. Raymond still lives in Knighton & I have cousins living in mid-Wales. I was born in London in 1954 but have lived in Kent since the age of 9, when mum & dad moved from London. Whereabouts in Canada do you live? My husband's mother was born in Toronto and we visited there a couple of years ago.
