Bisley Junior House 1948 To 1952

A Memory of Brynna.

I am not sure of the name that was given to me way back in 1948, so my age would have been about 7 years old,I think the person who put me there was mrs Bates or she could have been using her maiden name of Hancox.I don't remember much of the place or the teachers names, only names of past students remarks of their teachers at the time, the only name that comes to mind is the head- Master T T Barns , and one of the teachers hates of the song Greensleeves, so we were forbidden to sing or hum the tune in his presence. I was very unhappy all the time that I was there and there was no escape , as where would i go ?. the worst time of my life was when I had reached the age of these junior school , and was now going to be moved to the farming school for the older kids, I had heard so much about where the senors would make life hell for the new kids from the junior school. Luck was on my side as I guess that the school had contacted some one to take me out of this hell hole and try to bring me up as one of their own,The foster parents name was O'collins were I was looked after for a couple of years before I was put on the emigrate list for a place called New South Wales which I heard later was in Australia on the other side of the world.There I was lent out to one of these missonary type of leaning school, where you did nothing but work toearn your keep as they put it.
I was taken out of there by another family name of amos who I later found out was to be some family member way back who had never heard of me. So I adopted their name.
