Templedean

A Memory of Haddington.

It is good that there are a few memories of Tenterfield. We knew some of you guys. There seems to be nothing of Templedean. It's a bit like we have been wiped off the map? I, among others, grew up there, in the 60s. We have managed to gather a few of us together, but are still missing so many of our number. Margaret and Wilma Paton, Shirley and Joan Williams and Sheila Mulligan. Some of our girls are no longer with us though - we know of 6 who are gone. Larry Gilchrist, from Tenterfield, was a good lad. Also Sydney Davidson and Andrew McKenzie. This was late 60s..

I spent 8 happy years in Templedean in the 70s&80s ! It was in the new building of the home ! It was the most settled part of my life ! It was Matron Bennett who was in charge when my family was in care back then x
