My First School
A Memory of Sheffield.
If the photo of the school is circa 1955, I would still be there. I must have started in 1952 when I was 5. I remember getting a 'Coronation teaspoon' in 1953 (albeit I really wanted a propelling pen). Dancing lessons with Miss Campbell; making papier-mache masks with Miss Taylor (headmistress) and Miss Beal (who could forget her!) My school mates included Elaine Bellamy and Joyce Fairgreaves. I was too young (by one single day) to go to the Junior School and had to do an extra year here - in my mother's class (Mrs Creasey!)
