Happy Times Then And Now

A Memory of Talacre.

We had a caravan at Talacre in the late 70's until 1982 when I was 5. I have some vague memories of the sand dunes and the site (now Talacre Beach). Myself and my sister and my children come on holiday every year now, staying at Talacre Beach. We love the sand dunes and the open top bus!

When I was a child we would walk to presthaven and use their facilities as our site at the time didn't have any.

I have found the old chimney stack in the dunes, and a couple of the concrete bases, and the odd pile of bricks.

If anyone has any photos of the late 70's and early 80's I would love to hear your memories. We have photos of us outside our caravan, and on the beach by the lighthouse. The sun always seemed to shine!

Is there anything else I can look for in the dunes, around the village that might interest me? I find the photos of the warren with all the buildings etc in the dunes fascinating.
