The Haunted Wheatsheaf Inn

A Memory of Tewkesbury.

Does anyone remember reams of toilet paper hanging from one of the hanging baskets for a few days one year back in the 80's?? That was me, I threw the potty out of the window because I didn't like the smell! he he.

Me and my family lived here in the 80's and ran it as a restaurant, we managed to make it into the Good Food Guide which my mum and dad are very proud of... I'm too young to remember it but my parents have told me many times of the spooky goings on, mainly involving myself! :-/ They thought I had an imaginary friend but I started telling them specific things which a normal child my age could not know so they decided to investigate and it turns out my imaginary friend was the ghost of a boy who'd died there in the 16/17th century. Lots of stories to tell about this place, I would love to re-visit it one day. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAD ANY GHOSTLY SIGHTINGS/INTERACTION!

I believe there used to be hidey holes (where the priests could hide) and access to the underground alley ways from the Wheatsheaf. My parents know more than me and can obviously be factual where as I'm just going off memory.
