Bruce Grove School Royal Tottenham

A Memory of Tottenham.

I would love to hear from folk who like me went to Bruce Grove School. I went there from 1936 until 1944 when I left school, then danced at the Royal Tottenham. I lived in St Margaret's Road. I remember Ron West and his brother Albert West,m who lived just off West Green Road, and the rest of the gang, I would love to hear how they all got on.
Best wishes to all folk from Tottenham.
June.

V2 lucky escape in 1944

I was born in 1935 and lived at 46 Broadwater road until my mother and I got blown up by a V2 in June 1944 and were buried in the rubble for some time. Until then I went to school at Parkside Prep and was taken to Somerset for two years by my mum who had a sister living there. My dad was away in Italy throughout the war. I returned to Parkside School and tried to catch up on two years missed education and I eventually went to Downhill secondary in 1947. The council had by this time moved us to the prefabs in Philip Lane.
I took an apprentiship with Crusha the printers near White Hart Lane and got married and lived in Northumberland Park.
Moved eventually to Kent and finally retired to Bude in Cornwall

My wife Sandra and I have now been married 57 years and we both remember Tottenham like it was yesterday and share some very happy times there.

Best wishes to all.

Best wished to all, Charles and Sandra Huffer
Born 1937 Sheila spinksTottenham.I was bombed out from Forster road as a toddler. Eventually lived at 2sperling road. Went to Bruce grove school from nursery class until 11 and then parkhurst school. I remember the street party when the war finished, there was a fancy dress event and my friend pat Hewitt went as Jane of the daily mirror.as an adult one of my jobs was working at the Royal. I used to spend a lot of my childhood going to the marshes all day with Mary page and playing by the canal also going to Epping forest on our bikes. (I can't see that happening these days).
