Being Little In Robymill

A Memory of Upholland Sta.

Since I have left Robymill I have missed the freedom and the joys of the village. I now live in Wigan and always think of my memories as a child and teen years. I went to Robymill Primary School, Mrs Baxendale was my head teacher and teacher then, Mrs Scott was my year 5 teacher. I played everywhere round Roby Mill. I have lots and lots of memories and remember lots of people that meant a lot to me. One person who was a very fond memory was Mr Bostock, he had a farm that he shared with his brother Harry. Mr Bostock had a lot of animals which atracted me from a very young age. He taught me a lot about farms and animals. Unfortunately because of his relsonship with his brother and his theats of turning the barns into houses, Mr Bostock took his brother's life by shooting him. They did have a bad relationship, partly because Mr Bostock wanted to protect his animals. I remember them arguing over the animals. I have lots of memories of the farm. Me and my family really enjoyed visting Mr Bostock and have lots of memories of Roby Mill. My mum and nan and grandad still live there and my children enjoy playing in Roby Mill, it's a lovely place to grow up.
