For Darren

A Memory of Wallsend.

On this cold and windy winters day,
we will gather all as one.
Trying to find the words to say,
now that one of us is gone.
There will be much sadness,many tears,
a sombre mood throughout.
The friends Daz made over the years,
will show their grief no doubt.
But afterwards this the mood will lift,
like the early morning dew
For as the crowds all file away,
all the folk that Darren knew,
Will all meet up in our home town,
to exchange their tales and such.
There'll be such laughter going around,
he was thought of very much.
This lad from wallsend was so sound,
he always kept it real
Such a hoot to be around,
the show he's often steal.
So wrap up well and join as one,
to send off this fine young man.
So hard to take that he has gone,
just try and be there if you can!!
