Shropshire memories
Bullocks Row
Does anyone know of a place in Edgmond called Bullocks Row? My great grandmother Ada Charlotte Fox was living there in 1881 but I have been unable to find this address on any map. Any information or photos of this place would be greatly appreciated. Maybe someone even knows the family? She was the daughter of Thomas Fox and Charlotte Lea
Hubble/Hubbal
Does anyone know of Flatt Lodge in Edgmond as quoted from the 1871 Census with Hubbal's living there? I am unable to find it on any map.
John Weaver Lilleshall Sculptor
John Weaver is shown as being a stonemason on the 1827 Lilleshall baptism certificate of his son Alfred Weaver.
A family anecdote says that John Weaver took commissions for monumental sculptures and that after a statue of a horse and rider was unveiled it was noticed that he had omitted the girth straps for the saddle. This caused considerable ridicule from others and eventually depressed him so much that he took his own life by shooting himself.
I have long wondered if somewhere in or near Lilleshall there is such a statue?

Statue Not Sighted
I had a message late Sept 2006 from Lilleshall resident of 60 years Anthony Ardis saying he was unaware of the statue. I replied to you Athnony but the Frith system did not want to accept it. People are welcome to email me direct at pweaver@westnet.com.au Kind regards, Paul.
Apprenticeship
C&W Walkers Ltd Gas & Constuctional Engineers - I worked here from 1964- 1976 when I did my apprenticeship as a welder/fabricator. Unfortunatly it was demolished in 1993 and turned into a housing estate.
The Lovekins And Crombs
My mother's family came from Sheriff Hales and Tong. I am looking for any information about the Lovekins who lived at Crackley Bank during the 19th and beginning of the 20th Century. Particularly John and Alice Lovekin.
Also the Crombs who lived in Tong Norton at the same time.
Many thanks

Does Anyone Remember my Grandmother, Mrs Lillian Florence May Adams or my Father Mr Meyrick Adams?
I am interested to find out if anyone can remember my grandmother Mrs Lillian Florence May Adams (nee Pearson) and my dear father Mr Meyrick Pearson Adams? My grandmother was born in Hereford and married and had my father and his younger brother Barry who lives at Colebatch in Shropshire. My grandfather's name I think was Alfred Adams, he worked with horses. One of my father's oldest friends was a retired blacksmith called Cliff, sadly he too has now passed away. I was born in Shifnal. My father sadly passed away in February 2008 and my mother Mary Adams passed away in October 2009, her name was Mary Adams. They are buried in the Sheriffhales church.
