Worcestershire memories
A NIGHT OUT AT THE THEATRE.
I met a lovely lady from Baughton Lane while living in central London, the lady's name was at the time Miss Delphine Sherriff. She told where she lived and I have been around your most beautiful landscape. After meeting the lady I went backpacking around Europe for 5 years and lost touch. Whilst living in London we went to see '42nd Street' it Drury Lane. She told me how beautiful Baughton was and I have to agree with her as I now paint and draw there and I took my inspiration from Delphine as I have visited over 60 countries around the world and I found nothing to compare with your local scenery, I have to say thank-you. And I would like to meet up with Miss Sheriff again and thank her, she was the 'Lady in Red' that was no 1 at the time.
Severn Stoke
St. Denny's
In my travels 2010, I stopped at the picturesque village and Church. Had a meal and a beer in The Rose & Crown. A memory that will linger forever.

Happy Memories of Little Comberton
My grandmother lived in Little Comberton, I used to visit her when we lived in Clevedon. When I was 11 in 1967 I spent 6 months with my Ggrandmother before my parents, my brother and myself emigrated to Australia. Even though I was away from my mum and dad I had some happy memories of my time there, I loved the country and all that went with it. I was horse crazy and used to save all my money to go riding at a local horse riding school that from my memory was not far from the old Post Office. I have a photo of me on my favourite horse, Polo was his name, and I still have one of his shoes that was given to me for a keepsake. I went to school for those six months in Pershore. It was in winter time and I can remember waiting for the bus and it was dark. I can remember there was a farmer that used to drive his sheep down... Read more
My Dingley Family
My mother who is 93 this year and very much alive and kicking is descended from the Cropthorne Dingleys. She spent much of her early childhood and teenage years before ww2 with her family in Cropthorne. She has such vivid memories of the area and even remembers many names of the local people. If anyone knows how her anecdotal history might somehow be archived, please do let me know.
Via Pershore
Our grandparents live in Chipping Campden. When we lived in Worcester we would drive through Pershore on the way there. As a young child I used to acknowledge the little flags which were hung on string in between the buildings on either side of the high street.
RAF Camp Pershore
I lived in Pershore in the 1950s as my dad was based at the RAF camp there. I went to Pershore Infants then the Junior School. Headmaster was Mr. Goodyear. The school was near the Abbey - I remember it well!
