The postal address of the Prefabs in Maesgeirchen was The Bungalows.
I lived at 19 The Bungalows in 1946 to 1948. We loved it.
In 1946 my sister and I went to Cae Top School in Upper Bangor and my father worked at the C&A Hospital Upper Bangor. We walked to Upper Bangor every school morning over the links on Bangor Mountain. We used the bus to get back in the evenings.
Next door there was a husband and wife who both worked at the C&A . He ( Mr Mackintosh?) was a Radiographer,( she was a nurse?). He had a brand new Standard Vangard car which I believe was because it was an "export reject".
By 1948, my sister was in Bangor High School for Girls and I was in Friars School, both in Ffriddoedd, Upper Bangor. I believe the council let my family do a swap with who ever was allocated 25 Fforth Coed Mawr. We moved there when it was new. They moved into our prefab 19, The Bungalows.
