Nayland Rock Cafe

A Memory of Margate.

As a child we used to visit Margate on a regular basis, before the war. We used to have a tray of tea from the Nayland Rock Cafe which had a special smell and distinctive china. I would love to obtain a photo.

Comments & Feedback

I researched Nayland Rock Cafe for my own autobiography to verify whether my memories of large windows overlooking the sea were correct, and was amazed to find someone else who shared recollections of morning teas there. I am now 92 and the memories are at least 77 years old, but if Ms Clinker would like to email me, I would be delighted to have those memories sharpened.

We holidayed in Westbrook almost every year.
