Grocers Shop in Middleham

I used to stay with a friend in the 1950's in Middleham. Her parents had a grocers shop in the square and her father also had a mobile shop which he went round rural areas with. They also had a few hens and cows. Her father's name was Bob Doother.
The living quarters were above the shop. I have been back to Middleham recently but cannot find the building. If anyone reads this and can give me any information as to the location I would be very grateful.
I have such happy memories of walking down to the river and the riding stables.

RE: RE: Grocers Shop in Middleham

I think the shop you are remembering used to be Walkers greengrocers before your friend's father bought it. I can remember a grocery shop but don't remember the van. It was across the road from the Central Stores, this has been many things, a cafe, antique shop, I don't know what it is now.
