It seems that the trolley bus overhead cables are still there in 1955, at least in the Croydon direction. I can see none in the other direction.

Hello Douglas, the reason for only one set of trolley bus wires is because the street shown was one way. The set heading towards London were to the left of the picture, on the other side of the Fair Green.
