Do You Know Lilla Allan/Bryant
I am looking for my paternal grandmother or her relatives. Her name is Lilla Allan (nee Bryant). She was married to my grandad Haydon Fraser Allan who owned Allans Bakery at 147 Windsor Road in Neath. They married in 1928, had my dad Peter Allan, but divorced in 1938. She had 2 brothers who worked at Coney Beach in Porthcawl. Their surname was Bryant. I know she went on to have at least 2 or 3 daughters in her next relationship. One of them was married in either Swansea or Newport and could have been called Elizabeth. After that I cannot trace her. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

RE: RE: Do You Know Lilla Allan/Bryant
I asked my Mum, who moved to Neath in 1943, and all she remembers is the bakery itself and she said they made fantastic pasties. She said the owners son was also friendly with a rugby player called Rhys (not sure of spelling) Stevens (again not sure could be a ph). The owners son was nicknamed Pastie Allan. This was roughly in 1948-50. In return,I would be grateful if you could ask any ancestors, if they have got any photos of the Empire Cinema (especially from 1926-1959) in the Ropewalk Neath.
