Locating Family

My father John Ormston lived in Coronation Terrace, Broomhill until he married in 1947. His mother was Harriett Hannah, whose maiden name was Tuck, but she had married Thomas Gray before my Grandfather. All I know about my grandfather is that he was a fireman in the Merchant Navy and had died before my parents married. My parents were divorced over 30 years ago and have both passed away so I have no information on my father's family at all as I have lived in Wales all my life.
