Reputedly England's most haunted village, and a market town in the time of Henry III, Prestbury is now a residential suburb of Cheltenham. The record-breaking champion jockey Fred Archer, who was born in Cheltenham in 1857, grew up in the 16th-century half-timbered King's Arms Inn where his father was landlord.

Although I moved from Prestbury to Gloucester in 1966 when I got married, then to Somerset in 1967. Prestbury has always held a special place in my heart, I always call it my home.
