Did Ted Hart Ever Buy You A Drink?
The watering hole for any Monotype apprentices after working overtime on a Saturday morning. Seemed like I spent a good deal of my time in this establishment in those days. I'm 57 now and living in Devon. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers this great pub.

I remember happy times in the Queens Head with Terry Hindley, Pete Coomber and Norman Hawkins, discussing the pop groups of the day and football as we were involved in the village team. I now live in Horley and would love to hear from any of the above mentioned.

I too used to spend my Saturday mornings in the Queen's Head at Nutfield, after overtime at the Monotype Corporation. No, I do not ever remeber Ted buying me a drink but I bought plenty from him! I also had my stag-do at the Queen's before my marriage in 1971. It must have been a good night because we had to go back and appologise the next day on our way to the church. Even then Ted did not buy me a drink!
