RE: RE: I Was Born in Dunbeg (Dunstaffnage).
I was born in Dunstaffnage in 1944. I also went to the base school with Mrs Gardner and Miss Young. My name is Janet Stewart, I had a twin, Carrie, and a sister, Margaret Mary Christine and Anna, also brothers called Gordon, Colin, Jimmy, Norman and John. We lived in Camp Road then moved to Jarvis Road, that was before they started to build the new houses. I went to school with Lorna Young. Geraldine Cruickshanks, Sybil Ferguson, she was an albino, Johnsons, the Campbels, Jeffreys. McCuishes and so o. Kind regards Janet and on. I live in England now, I have retired, I have 3 grown up daughters and 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. I would love to hear from you.

I met Geraldine the other day, I think she is having connection problems with her internet, but i will say to her that she is mentioned on this site.
I see Lorna Macdonald as she still lives her in Dunbeg. So I will pass on regards to her too!
The named surnames still live in the village too!!
I myself have stayed in the same house in Lorn Road for 40 years!
If you are looking for anybody in particular, post it and I will get back to you!

Vary Fletcher, although christened Mary, born at 5 Jarvis Road, Dubstaffnage,to Grace and Peter Fletcher, 4th girl out of 6, and 1 boy the youngest. When the new village was built, we moved to Etive Road, formerly Camp Road, and it is still the family home. Geraldine Cruickshanks is a full cousin, so is Lorna McDonald. I was born 1949.
