Growing Up In Nunhead

Hi, I have just come on here and saw your comment about THE Man Of Kent, I came past it last Sunday ( 25th June ) and it is still open.I was born in 1944 and lived and grew up in Nunhead until 1966. Got married and moved away,my wife (no 2) lived in the same street as me.We go back to Nunhead where my Grand Father and my Birth Mum are.,we have fond memories of Nunhead and Peckham.When we were there last week the Fair was on the Rye and a trip to Crossways Cafe for something to eat,my how its changed

Family Porth we lived at 72 Buchan Road for 40 years till the eighties. We all went to the local school Hollydale. My brother born in 1938 and me the youngest of 6 in 1951. We went o Howbury Mission Hall for many years and on holiday with them to Bournemouth camping every year! Anyone remember that?
