Borwick's Baking Powder Factory, Penge

High Street c1955
Enlarge photo |  More about this photo

My father used to work at this factory in Penge as a Chemist. We moved down to Selsdon when I was five (1950) and then we moved back up to the Wirral when I was 11. Does anyone remember exactly where the factory was and does anyone remember Selsdon in those days?

RE: RE: Borwick's Baking Powder Factory, Penge

Borwicks Baking Powder Factory. The entrance used to be in Franklin Road. An aunt of mine used to work there. I used to pass there on my way to school in Croydon Road. I remember Penge well and saw a lot of changes whilst living there. Seeing this old photo brings back so many memories. I lived in Blenheim Road when I was born in 1951 and left Penge in 1976.
