Pinner Radio

A Memory of Pinner.

I worked at Pinner Radio and Electrical Maintenance in Station Approach Pinner from 1956 to 1967. The shop was located at the bottom of Station Approach, next to a little tobacconist kiosk on one side and the old Victory pub on the other... I wonder if anyone has any memories of this little shop. It was owned by Arthur Breese and both his son's Tony and Chris Breese worked there too,
From the bottom of Station Approach going up to the Station there were various small building selling coal etc. I worked in one of these places repairing radio's & televisions.. It's all one massive building now.. Any Memories anyone?? I'd love to know... Cheers Martin Ruffell..

Hi Francis I remember Pinner radio very well I used to go there for spares and advice, from about 1949 until I left Pinner in 1956 I used to live in Pinner Green and went to Headstone School 49 to 53. Brian Stacey.
Hi Brian. Delighted to get your comment.. The only one -so far-! So you left Pinner the same year I joined Pinner Radio aged 15. I wonder if ANYONE has any photo's of the old shop. I served my 5 year apprenticeship there. I worked in the little workshop half way up Station Approach.. I remember Pinner Green very well. Used to have a lovely fish & chips meal there. I lived in North Harrow at that time I started work. Although a bit long in the tooth now, I still have a great interest in radio & electronics. It has certainly changed a lot since the '50's though! Kind regards. Martin Ruffell.
Please!! Anyone that remembers Pinner Radio (or GEM Sales). I would love to hear from.. cheers! Martin Ruffell..
