I had exactly the same reaction as the writer of the last comment. But after much puzzling over this photo, I now believe it to be of the top end of Alltwen as seen (looking north) from Cilhendre. The large building centre left, being Alltwen Independent Chapel, seen from behind, as it were. So not really Pontardawe, although close.
