A Memory of Runcorn.

I went to Balfour Road school in the late 1950s. I remember going to the "annex" for some lessons. This was as far as I can recall a chapel in Station Road (?) nearly opposite the cinema. Can anyone recall its name please? Thanks.

I went to Balfour Rd school also, 1956-1960. The annexe I went to was situated on Weston Rd at the edge of Runcorn Hills and we used to walk there for our lessons from Balfour Rd. I didn't know the girls had a different one. Which cinema do you mean, The Empress or the Scala.? Mike Burrows.

Thanks Mike for your reply but my post is a couple of years old.The annex was the chapel nearly opposite the Empire cinema. Nice of you to take time to reply. Jan
