Church Cottages.

My wife  and I moved here in 1983. We lived in the far cottage of the terrace of 3 (1,Church Cottages), in the foreground of this photograph. Our first daughter arrived whilst we were here. However, the imminent arrival of the second meant that we had to move to a larger property. We had four very happy years here. Unfortunately, the Christmas after we moved a major fire severely damaged this terrace and it was 9 months before renovations were complete. This is the only house that we were truly sad to leave.

RE: RE: Church Cottages.

I have discovered a distant relative was residing at Teme Cottage, Salford Priors, at the time of his death in 1954. He was Charles Lloyd (born Knighton, Rads in 1880) and his occupation was schoolmaster. Does anyone have any information regarding which school he taught at? Are there any relatives of him still living in the area? If he taught in Salford Priors, are there any photographs of the school available? Peter Lloyd, Derby
