Emma And John Hewerdine

I remember my grandma telling me that her mum, Frances Hewerdine, came from beautiful Scalford and she was a real lady, and somewhere along the line Frances's parents had a dress shop. Sadly I don't know where Emma and John were buried, or I would take flowers. Does anyone else have memories along these lines to share? I would love to share someone's memories of Scalford for about 1850 onwards.

RE: RE: Emma And John Hewerdine

Hello Vicky, I was reading your comments re John Hewerdine and wondered if you could contact me as I do have more about the Hewerdine family of Leicestershire that may interest you. It is not specifically about Emma and John but the 1850 era, as they have been mentioned in my search of my own ancestors.I live in Australia would love to share this info with you. Kind regards, Shirley

RE: RE: Emma And John Hewerdine

Hi Vicky, I tried emailing you about the Hewerdine some months ago. I got no response so I will try again with another comment. The name Hewerdine is familiar in my family tree, they came from Scalford and also Stonesby. The family is mentioned in my ancestor's will back in the 1832. They were very good friends. Regards, Shirley
