football
Does anyone remember the Gilfach Panthers football. It would be great to hear from the members of the team as I have lived away from Gilfach for 40 years.

Father in-law
Hi there. My father-in-law was born in Gilfach Goch but left when he was a child. It was not long ago me and my husband took him back and he was quite shocked to see how much the place has changed.
The address he used to live at is no longer there, not even a road. Anyway before we left Mr Raymond Cook (my father-in-law) wanted to know what Gilfach Goch is in English as he cannot remember. Please help. Thanks.

The Pavillion, The Welfare Park
The pavillion burned down some years ago, can't exactly remember when. I seem to recall it was vandalism.

Fountain Row
My mother was born in Gilfach Goch, No 3 Fountain Row, family name was Lewis and Blodwen Williams.
I have been trying to find out where Fountain Row was as I've been up there and it's not there and I can't find it on any map.
Help is required please.

white bridge
there is a white bridge in Glyn Ogwr but there was also one in Gilfach. It stretched from the bottom of the tip in Evanstown and straddled the river and came out on a path to High St,quite near to the police station. It also crossed the railway line from the Brittanic colliery
