My parents had a weekend cottage at Rotten End in the 1950s, and I remember walking a footpath to Shalford regularly.
Can anybody tell me if this footpath still exists, or anything about it at all?

many thanks

RE: RE: Rotten End

Hi Ros,
Sorry this has taken so long to produce any info, I hope I can help you with some news on the footpath you walked from Rotten End to Shalford. My husband and I bought Hunters Mead approx 6 years ago and I believe your path passes from our front gate next to The Priest House through our fields and down to the bridge over the river through the church yard and pops out next to The George in the centre of the village. Would love to hear any other memories you have of the area, local history is always better first hand.
Kind Regards,
Lynn Hansen
