RE: RE: Number 1 Nether Edge Rd.

I know this postcard well from my childhood as my mother is the lady walking away from the camera who is slightly stooped to the left of the lady with the pushchair. The black and white check mac is very familiar! We had a copy bought by mum when she saw it in the post office but over the years it has been lost. We lived in a house which had entrances both on Machon Bank and Sheldon Road so we shopped regularly at all the shops. My brothers delivered papers for Mr Coffey and had their haircut at Cammacks. We had our grocery order delivered from Gowers and spent our sweet ration at Floods, later becoming Paynes.
