"Life Story on Film" makes it easy to capture that precious history, before it's lost forever. After interviewing your loved one on television-quality cameras, and then editing the footage into a beautiful documentary, you will be presented with a legacy for the family for many years to come. The film can include photos, old film, and favourite music, along with interviews with other friends and family.

Sadly, many people never get to hear why someone loves them, or how much, during their lifetime, so seeing their close ones share their feelings on camera makes this a very special gift indeed.

How does it work?
A detailed brief is taken of exactly what you want to achieve with the final film, and who will be the recipient(s) of the end movie. The next and most important step is to get to understand the person who will star in the film and to put their mind at ease. The interviews are conducted over several hours and are conducted by a highly trained interviewer (the team has a wealth of experience, some of them having spent many years at the BBC, and who are all used to building rapport and putting their interviewees at ease).
On the day of filming the interviewee is given training and has a lot of time to practise and feel comfortable in front of the cameras. There is no rush, and all necessary time is taken to make sure of getting the best result possible for all concerned. High Definition television quality cameras are used to ensure only the best possible pictures and sound.

Any relevant photos and film are used and edited into the final film along with favourite music. Historical archive photographs from The Francis Frith Collection are also edited into your film by our partners Life Story On Film.

Silver Package: This involves the interviewing of the star of the film along with one other family member and takes place at the studios. The film is then edited (which takes about 3-4 weeks) bringing in music, photos, and old film. This also includes the license fee for using popular music. Lunch and wine are included. The final DVD will be approximately 30 minutes in length.

Gold Package: This involves a 2 camera shoot on high definition TV quality cameras, at a venue of your choice (usually the home of the star of the movie) and can include up to 3 members of your family as well. As above old film, music, video, cine film, photos etc. are edited in. This also includes the music license. This package usually takes 4-6 weeks to edit. Approximately 60 minutes in length and includes up to 10 copies for family and friends.

Platinum Package: This is the premier package and involves a 2 camera shoot on high definition TV quality cameras, at a venue of your choice, and includes interview of up to 7 family and friends. As above old film, music, video, cine film, and photos, etc are edited in. Old news footage is also edited in that relates to the era of the story along with designing fun newspaper headlines and graphics that announce or highlight any important events during the person's life. Old archive photo libraries such as The Francis Frith Collection are also accessed, so as to bring in photos that are relevant to their history. Finally camera crews are sent to one or two places of historical importance to the interviewee. All licenses are included. Editing time is 6-8 weeks. Approximately 90 minutes in length and includes up to 50 copies for friends and family all in a personalised gift box.
