Every Frith photograph on this site is available to buy in either Sepia or Black & White and in a choice of sizes. Each print is hand-made to your order, with care and attention to detail.
A final quality check will also be made before your print leaves our studio to ensure your print is despatched in pristine condition.

Image Quality
Frith photographs are world renowned for their image quality. The originals were taken by professional photographers to Francis Frith's own very high standards. The result was photography of outstanding clarity, detail and composition.
The original negative or photograph print is digitally scanned before being professionally adjusted to remove any creases or scratches. By using the very latest reproduction techniques we are able to retain the extraordinary clarity of the original, thereby revealing the maximum historical detail.
Origin of Frith prints
The Frith archive was founded by pioneering Victorian photographer Francis Frith in 1860, when he opened the world's first photographic publishing company.
By the 1890's Frith had created the greatest topographical photographic business in the world. After his death in 1898 the archive was added to continuously by his company photographers up until the late 1960's.

No logos in prints!
The Frith logo that appears in most photos on this website does not appear in prints. The logo is added to photos online for copy-protection purposes only.
The only exception to this rule is our Genealogy Prints, which feature a very small Frith logo in the lower right-hand corner.
