I used to come every year as my mother came from Spittal, and stayed with my granny and grandad. I love Spittal and still come a lot, I have many memories, can't count them all.

RE: RE: Holidays at Spittal

New to this type of communication - so it might go wrong. My grandfather, Peter Brown came from Coldstream. His family lived in a cottage on the Hirsel Estate. The cottage had a round window in it. I have photos of the family sitting outside in the garden. Peter was born in 1875 and his father, John, was a Joiner married to Mary Ann Wallace. Does anyone have photos of the Lennel Kirkyard, where I presume John and Mary are buried? B M Crawford
